100 Day Party!

Room 10 and 11 celebrated being at school for 100 days by having a party!! We had lots of icing cupcakes, doing 100 exercises, counting to 100, making a gumball machine and eat cupcakes!

We Are Learning To make simple inferences

"We are learning to answer inference questions. We found it easy to answer some of the questions. We found it hard to think about it because the answer isn’t in the book."

I Am learning About 2D and 3D shapes

Room 10 and 11 have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes.

We made our shape with toothpicks and marshmallows, yum! After we made our shape we got to eat it.

I Am Learning To write a recount

I Am Learning To write a recount about blowing bubbles. 

I will be successful when I have:

• A title 
• An introduction
• Sequence words to begin my sentences
• Used the 5 W's (who, what, when, where, why)

We Are Learning about Matariki at the Stardome

On Thursday Room 10/11 went to the Stardome. We learnt so much about the Sun, Moon and Stars. We all enjoyed going into the planetarium to watch the movie about Matariki!

We Are Learning To use joining words.

"I am learning to use joining words. It was tricky to use different joining words. Some different words I can use are as, but, so. It was easy to write a sentence about day and night. I can get better at sounding out my words."

We Are Learning To read contractions.

"We are learning about contractions and apostrophes. Contractions are two words joined together with an apostrophe. It was tricky to read the words with an apostrophe and find the two words. It was easy to do some words like I'm because I could find the two words easy."
